How to gather materials quickly in V Rising They still aren't as good as a roof over your vampire head, but if you have some specific areas that aren't built out yet, or if you want to make some climatic walkways outside, the Mist Braziers do a great job. Those provide some much-needed respite from the sunbeams, provided that you keep them supplied with bones. You won't get a roof until you build enclosing walls (and the different floor types actually matter for crafting), so that pesky sun will continue to bother you unless you build some Mist Braziers. The heart itself needs 240 stone and 30 Blood Essence. But the most important aspect of your base is the Castle Heart, which you can't get until Level 10 and start the "Lord of Shadows" quest. Well, it won't be much of a castle at the start, as you'll begin with mostly wooden elements. Otherwise, you can always play on a PvE server where other vampires can't interrupt your dastardly plans. There are Bandit Camps and Wolf Dens all around it, giving you a handy loop to go around and gather resources. This spot is ideal, as it is right between the Bandit Logging Camp and the Bandit Copper Mine. It only makes sense to build your Castle somewhere equidistant to most places you will be going. Being central is useful because early on, you will have to do a lot of travelling on foot. It is an elevated area and one of the biggest in Farbane Woods. The area marked in the image above is a great spot to start out in. You will be required to start building your home here, so you might as well pick a good spot. This is where you will go through a lot of the tutorial quest lines, where the game teaches you how to play. As such, it only makes sense to build your first Castle here. Our first choice for the V Rising best base locations is Farbane Woods, and as the largest area, you are going to be spending a good deal of time in here.
